Currency

Travelers checks are recommended in $20 and $50 denominations. Since most of your travel arrangements are prepaid, there is no need for you to carry large amounts of currency with you, unless you plan to do some serious shopping. Foreign currencies can be purchased prior to your departure or at the airport in every city you will visit. Most hotels, restaurants and shops abroad will accept travelers checks as payment. Take a few $1, $5, and $10 bills with you. They always come in handy.
