Clothing Suggestions
For women, the most important factor in a travel wardrobe is a basic color-scheme. Keep in mind that dark colors travel best. Shoes and other accessories should be chosen in a color that blends with the entire wardrobe rather than different color sets that add extra weight. Above all, clothing should be chosen for comfort and easy packing. We find that most of our travelers are bringing with them the lightweight jogging suits that can be mixed and matched and worn with different shirts for a variety of looks, while allowing the traveler to pack very little clothing. It also allows them to dress in layers so that they're ready for every type of weather they might encounter.
For men, we recommend the same type of dressing. Take clothing that can be mixed and matched and does not wrinkle easily. Dress in layers so that you are ready for the weather and bring things that can be worn several times before they need to be washed.
A pair of comfortable, broken-in walking shoes for sightseeing is a must. A pair of slippers or loafers in your overnight bag will add to your comfort on the flights and motorcoaches.
A plastic raincoat and plastic hat cover should be included in your wardrobe. Also bring along an umbrella.
Western Europe has a temperature climate similar to most areas of the United States. Choose your wardrobe according to the kinds of climate you would expect to find at similar times of the year in the temperature zones of the United States, and as to whether you will be visiting cities or resorts. For travel from one area to another prepare yourself accordingly.
