First of all let me say again what a pleasure it has been to work with you!
Vicki, you were so helpful and supportive all along the way. Not always easy when you have a tour host like me with some very specific ideas. So again, Vicki, thank you for all you did to help make this tour a success.
And a success it WAS!
The hotel (Grand Hotel de la Minerva) was perfect and really appreciated by all. The rooms are all different, so some had better digs than others. But the whole atmosphere of the hotel, the lovely dining room for breakfast and the LOCATION couldn't have been better. I'm so glad we went for this!
The tour program was full, but very appealing and very much appreciated by our people. I met Renata late in the week, and she's wonderful. Our guide, Stefania, was absolutely SUPERB! She helped make the actual experience what we had hoped for…and because she was so knowledgeable, spoke very understandable English, and was so gracious, we enjoyed every minute of our full days.
After all my instructions about dinner and restaurant selections, (thanks for being patient with me on this) by the middle of the week we were making arrangements for a set menu at the respective restaurant. So much easier, and actually very much appreciated by our group, who were very happy to let someone choose for them. We had to kick in some Euros (first night 25/ea.) to cover the costs on several dinners but that turned out okay. Next time will make sure the daily allowance is sufficient to cover and bundled into the price. We'll also go for the set menu—much easier. Again, thanks for your patience on this front!
All in all “A Home Run” Attached is a photo of our first morning in front of the hotel. Great weather all week helped as well.
