Dear Larry, Mira, Vicki, Shirley:

Well, you did it again! Provided us with a perfect trip to Israel and Jordan. Not a hitch in this my 14th trip to Israel. You have always, and again this time, did more than you promised to make this trip of a lifetime truly the trip of a lifetime. All 25 of us thank you.

Two highlights that I must tell you about.
First, our guides: I had requested David Beradt in Israel and Omar Masarweh in Jordan. You delivered them both and they were absolutely the best. I had used them before and was afraid you would have trouble getting them but you did. Thanks!
Second: the leisure day at the Dead Sea. In my 2002 trip to Jordan we had stayed at the Movenpick at the Dead Sea Jordan side and it was so beautiful that I decided that I wanted an extra night with a free day the next time. You arranged it for me but at the last moment you changed from the Movenpick to the Marriott. Great move. The Marriott was even better than the Movenpick. The food and service was the best I have ever received on any trip and that spot is one of the most beautiful on this earth.

This trip we went everywhere that we were scheduled to go. The reception and preparation was always in place and never once did I have to make any special arrangements.

Finally, I co-hosted with Dr. John DeLancey this year. We had co-hosted once before and it was a good match then. This time was even better. John is so much stronger in geography and directions than I am that I am glad my people had the chance to learn from his experiences in Israel. I know that it took extra effort on your part to put us together in the total package but you did and I appreciate it.

Larry, in many ways the trip this year seems like old times. At our hotel in Jerusalem there were so many pilgrims that the dining hall had to open an extra room to feed us. I thank you for hanging in there during the lean years and continue to pray that we are on the front end of better times for travel to His Land. Maybe you can even make some money for all your labor for a change.
