November Trip Update

Dear Creative Travel Partners:

I just returned from my 10th Israel trip (Oct. 31–Nov. 15, 2006). All went very well with a wonderful group of travelers and with absolutely no signs of tension or any safety issues. We traveled all over Israel with no fear or anxiety whatsoever. Our time in Jordan and Egypt were equally safe, being greeted by friendly people everywhere. Please know that Israel travel is safer than driving your car anywhere here in the U.S.

So if you are presently booked of considering traveling, please do so without fear or worry. Be confident that a safe and life-changing trip awaits you!

A WORD ABOUT ISRAEL TRAVEL

Despite the war in August 2006, we had a wonderful tour and experienced the biblical lands of Israel, Jordan, and Egypt without any signs of tensions or safety concerns. As usual, all was quiet and "normal." On this last trip, we even went to Jericho, Bethlehem, and the Temple Mount in Jerusalem once again. As people always ask me, "Is it safe to travel to Israel?" my response is always "Yes, for it is safer to travel to Israel than it is to drive a car anywhere in the U.S."

The reality of the TV media in presenting Israel as the "place where you just might be blown up" is unfortunate as well as untrue.  I've had many people travel with me who had doubts about their own safety prior to traveling with me.  While their relatives back home would "worry for their safety," what our travelers typically do the first few days is call home and say, "Don't worry about us...all is safe."

Personally for me (in being a father of 3 kids and the husband of a wonderful wife), I would not go myself to Israel nor be responsible in leading a group of fellow believers if I thought that there was even the remotest potential of coming into harm's way!  Despite the perceptions that the news media presents, the bottom line is this: Travel to Israel (and Jordan and Egypt) is safe, with no fears at all!
