Will the tour departure be affected in the event that our tour does not reach the required minimum number of passengers to qualify for group rates?

This can happen. However, C.T.P. reserves the right to consolidate smaller groups whenever the original departure dates for each group fall within a week of one another. Thus you could reasonably expect no more than a one-week adjustment in your schedule if such a problem arose. Be sure to check with your program manager whenever any delay seems likely.
