DAY 1 – DEPART USA
Depart the USA on your overnight flight to Europe.

DAY 2 – ENROUTE
After a stop over in Europe, we will continue on our evening non-stop flight to Nairobi.

DAY 3 – NAIROBI
Arrival is in the early morning. You will be met and transferred to your hotel. Just after lunch, drive out into the Ngong Hills. Enjoy refreshments while watching a traditional Maasai display of dancing, fire making and even a wedding ceremony. Visit a local Maasai enkang before returning to Nairobi at dinner time.

DAY 4 – NAIROBI / GREAT RIFT VALLEY
Depart in the early afternoon for a short drive into the Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha Country Club for a boat ride on the lake. The floor in the Rift Valley is dotted with lakes which are inhabited by birds making this area an ornithologist's paradise.

DAY 5 – RIFT VALLEY / MAASAI MARA
After breakfast, drive via Narok to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch and a game drive in the park. The Maasai Mara is Kenya's most fascinating reserve. It is the Kenya sector of the famous Mara-Serengeti ecosystem. This rich tree-studded grassland with its rolling hills is renowned for its great herds of plains' game.

DAY 6 – MAASAI MARA
At dawn take a game drive while the animals are moving and grazing and visiting the river before the day heats up. Predators are active at this time of the day. Herds of buffalo can be seen. Return to Keekorok for a late breakfast. Relax until a game drive in the late afternoon with possibly a visit to the hippo pools.

DAY 7 – MAASAI MARA / NAIROBI
After breakfast return to Nairobi, arriving in the early afternoon. The balance of the day is at leisure.

DAY 8 – NAIROBI / NGORONGORO
Drive from Nairobi via Namanga to Arusha for lunch and briefing. Then proceed to the Crater for dinner and overnight. The crater is a collapsed volcano roughly ten miles in diameter. The animals here can be approached at unusually close quarters and your game drives will probably provide you with some of the best photographic opportunities of the trip. If you have not checked rhino on your game list you will almost certainly do so here. There are large herds of buffalo, zebra and gazelle and plenty of lion.

DAY 9 – NGORONGORO CRATER
Descend 2000 feet by Land Rover to the crater floor, a 100 square mile natural amphitheatre and enjoy a full day game drive in the crater today with a picnic lunch.

DAY 10 – NGORONGORO / TARANGIRE
After breakfast drive to Tarangire National Park, which is situated in a vast valley offering views over the savanna interspersed with acacia and baobab trees. Enjoy an afternoon game drive.

DAY 11 – TARANGIRE / NAIROBI
After breakfast, return to Nairobi. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

DAY 12 – NAIROBI-DEPART
This morning, tour the city including the museum. A room is reserved for you until the late transfer to the airport for your overnight flight to Europe.

DAY 13 – EUROPE-USA
Arrive in Europe early this morning and connect to the USA bound flight arriving later this same day.
